The Manufacturing Universities Act of 2015

Our Department Chair, Kemper Lewis, was in attendance this month to support new legislation that will help train New York's workforce.  The Manufacturing Universities Act of 2015 will designate 25 universities and 'Manufacturing Universities' and provide schools with incentives to better align their educational offerings with the needs of modern manufacturers.

3-D printing is going to change daily lives

Abani Patra has been selected as Fellow of the U.S. Association for Computational Mechanics



The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University at Buffalo is proud to announce that Professor Abani Patra has been selected as Fellow of the U.S. Association for Computational Mechanics.  In recognition of contributions to the field of Computational Mechanics, Professor Patra will be presented with a USACM lapel pin will be announced at the Awards Ceremony during the 13th U.S. National Congress on Computational Mechanics, being held July 27-30, in San Diego, CA.

United States Association for Computational Mechanics Fellows Award recognizes individuals with a distinguished record of research, accomplishment and publication in areas of computational mechanics and demonstrated support of the USACM through membership and participation in the Association, its meetings and activities.
